The ETX-90 PE Maksutov-Cassegrain w/UHTC offers optical quality that has made it a standard in the industry, the easy to use Meade 497 GOTO computer handbox, and a solid mount and tripod. Features an advanced Maksutov-Cassegrain design for pinpoint star images and extreme contrast. This 90mm (3.5") model has a focal length of 1250mm, f/13.8, with Meade's best Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC). A terrific performer on the Moon and planets with it's comparitively long focal ratio, excellent resolution, and ability to easily soar to high magnifications. Includes #497 AutoStar Handbox with over 30,000 object library, level/north alignment technology, an electronic level sensor, electronic magnetic north sensor, internal clock, periodic error correction, easy to use red dot viewfinder, heavy duty field tripod with built in wedge, and Meade 26mm Series 4000 1.25" Super Plössl eyepiece. Also includes Meade AutoStar Suite Astronomer Edition Software and Instructional DVD to locate objects in the night sky, print star maps, and learn more about your new telescope. The optical tube incorporates a flip mirror allowing light to either go to the comfortable 90 degree observing position of the eyepiece or the built in photo port at the rear of the tube.
