For crisp wide field observing and imaging, nothing can beat a true triple-element Apochromatic Refractor (APO). Meade® Series 5000™ ED APO Triplets are among the finest available optically. Features a fully multi-coated triplet objective lens made from the highest quality ED (extra-low dispersion) glass for outstanding contrast and sharpness as well as near zero detectable chromatic aberration or "color fringing". Diameter is 3.1" with a focal Length of 480mm, f/6. Built in extendable dew/Sun shield, 2" precision machined Crayford focuser and 2" Meade Series 5000 diagonal with 1.25" adapter.. Bolts to standard photo style tripod with included bracket. Weight is 6.2 pounds. Includes hard carry case. Eyepieces not included.
